NELSON MANDELA one ounce 24 carat gold coin in wooden presentation box with certificate of authenticity.Only 999 of these coins were minted so they are really very scarce and just keep climbing in value. At the moment INVESTGOLD is selling this coin at R45.000.00 and I am selling at R35.000.00.
This is the coin around which a court case revolved regarding the illegal use of MADIBA's image on the coin.Madiba himself became involved in the case via his attorneys and his foundation and it was amicably resolved.
Initially a ban was placed on the sale of the coin but this was lifted and Investgold were ordered to pay 5% of future sales of the coin to the Mandela foundation.This really gave this coin some history which has given it even more value than would otherwise have been the case.The coin is kept in a safety deposit box at the bank .
